1. Are there any fees for donating tithes and offering?
A. Yes. Currently, you have the option to donate an additional 1% for the merchant transaction processing fee. Otherwise, the church will absorb the additional 1%.
2. Will I get a receipt for my donation?
A: Yes. The system emails you an acknowledgement / thank-you for your records. You can also print the information on the final screen after your donation. The donation will appear on your bank statement. You can also see a Transaction History of past donations.
3. Can I donate using my credit or debit card?
A: Currently no. The processing fees for debit and credit cards are higher than checking account transactions. This capability may be added later.
4. What does donating online offer me?
A: It provides an easy, convenient way to donate to our church, and reduces our collection counting time and recording time for our bookkeeper. Plus, by donating online, you can use your bank statement for taxes/receipts plus save time and reduce postage costs.
5. How does online donating work?
A: Simply fill out all the fields on our website secure donation form, click “Give $99.99” and your donation will be processed immediately. A summary of the donation will appear on the screen for you to print, plus you will be emailed an acknowledgement.
6. Is my personal information safe and secure?
A: Yes, the service operates on a secure server and complies with PCI regulations for real-time online transaction processing. PCI stands for Payment Card Industry and involves a robust set of requirements to ensure all organizations that process, store, or transmit bank information maintain a secure environment. Unless you’re participating in our Recurring Gifts program, your bank account information will not be kept on file. Your other personal information is entered into a security-protected donor management system.
7. Is it easy to setup recurring donations and make changes to the frequency schedule?
A: If you're a first-time giver and you’re not ready to turn on a recurring donation, it's very simple. If you choose a one-time gift, you don't even have to log in to do it. Online giving provides a great way to manage your finances, and your account can show you and allow you to print your history and control your address and other information.
And when you’re ready to set up your online giving account, you‘ll have your own portal where you'll find all your options to keep track of all activity, including making changes to giving frequency.
8. Can I make donations by text?
A: Yes, by typing SAC1169 to 73256 and following the prompts.
9. Can I make donations to the second collections and 21st Century Fund?
A: Yes, you will be asked Which Fund to donate to and you will click on the drop down box to choose which collection to apply your donation.
