Catholic Diocese of Memphis
Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat House
Dedication in honor of Bishop Emeritus J. Terry Steib, SVD
It was a joyful Holy Mass, Saturday, April 27, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center’s beautiful Chapel in honor of Bishop Emeritus J. Terry Steib.
Bishop David P. Talley was the Celebrant and Homilist and joining him for the Holy Mass were Bishop Steib, Archbishop J. Peter Sartain, and several Priests from across our Diocese. Deacons, Altar Servers, and Lector (parishioner, Audrey Conley) provided excellent support, and the Music was wonderful. After Holy Mass, everyone took a short walk to the renovated and restored Retreat House, which was blessed and named in honor of Bishop Steib. After the blessing of the House, a faith-filled and delicious Reception took place.
Bishop Talley and our Diocese were very excited to name the Retreat House in honor of Bishop Steib and recognize him for all he has done as a Bishop to build the Retreat Center and foster an environment of spiritual development and growth at Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center.
